Cloture filed on substitute amendment and H.R.2, Farm Bill
This evening, Senator McConnell filed cloture on
the Roberts substitute amendment #3224 and on the underlying bill, H.R.2:
Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018. Absent an agreement, the cloture motions
will ripen one hour after the Senate convenes on the next legislative day. If
cloture is invoked, amendments must be germane and timely filed.
The filing deadline for first-degree amendments
is 1:00pm tomorrow, Thursday. The filing deadline for second-degree amendments
is one hour prior to the cloture vote.
Roll call votes in relation to the Farm Bill are
expected during Thursday’s session.
