The Senate stands
adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
Following Leader remarks, the
Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of
Executive Calendar #601, the nomination of James Blew, to be Assistant
Secretary for Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development, Department of
Education. At 11:45am there will be a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination.
Upon disposition of the Blew nomination, there will be an immediate cloture
vote on the Quarles nomination.
Following the cloture vote on
the Quarles nomination the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the
weekly conference meetings.
During Thursday’s session,
Senator McConnell filed cloture on the following nominations:
