Schedule for pro forma sessions and Wednesday, August 15, 2018
The
Senate stands adjourned until 10:30am on Friday, August 3, 2018. There will be
pro forma sessions, with no business conducted, on the following dates and
times:
Friday, August 3, at 10:30am
Tuesday, August 7th at 10:00am
Friday, August 10th at 10:30am
Tuesday, August 14th at 1:00pm
On Wednesday,
August 15th, the Senate will convene at 12:00 noon. Following Leader remarks,
the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the
Quattlebaum nomination.
Following
the resumption of the Quattlebaum nomination, the Senate will recess until
2:15pm for the Republican caucus meeting.
At
5:30pm, there will be a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the
Quattlebaum nomination. If cloture is invoked, there would be up to 30 hours of
post-cloture debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination. Upon
disposition of the nomination, there would be a cloture vote on the Richardson
nomination.
We
expect Senator McConnell to turn to the consideration of H.R. 6157,
Defense-Labor-HHS-Education appropriations, following disposition of those
nominations.
