Following Leader
remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Executive Calendar #994, Lynn A. Johnson, of
Colorado, to be Assistant Secretary for Family Support, Department of HHS.
One hour after
the Senate convenes (approx. 10:30am) there will be a vote on the motion to
invoke cloture on the Shelby substitute amendment #3695 to H.R.6157 (Defense/LaborH).
Upon the use or yielding back of time, any pending amendments would be disposed
of and the Senate would vote on adoption of the substitute. Then, there would
be a cloture vote on the underlying bill and another 30 hours of post-cloture
debate prior to a vote on passage of the minibus.
