The Senate stands
in recess until 3:00pm on Monday, October 1, 2018.
Prior to
recessing, the Senate passed a 1 week FAA extension, filed cloture on the long
term FAA bill (H.R.302) with the motion and amendment trees filled, reached an agreement
on the Opioid bill (H.R.6), and proceeded to the Kavanaugh nomination.
Following Leader
remarks on Monday, the Senate will resume
Executive Session. At 5:00pm on Monday, the Senate will resume consideration of
the House message to accompany H.R.302, the long-term FAA extension.
At 5:30pm on Monday, there
will be a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to
concur with respect to H.R.302, the long-term FAA extension.
Opioids: At a time to be
determined by the Majority Leader, in consultation with the Democratic Leader,
the Senate proceed to the consideration of the House message to accompany H.R.
6, the opioids bill. The Majority Leader, or his designee, will be recognized
to make a motion to concur, with up to 4 hours of debate on the motion, equally
divided in the usual form. Following the use or yielding back of that time, the
Senate vote on the motion to concur with no further intervening action or
debate.

Cloture on the
