The Senate stands adjourned
until 10:00am on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.
Following
leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed
to S.1, Strengthening America's Security in the
Middle East Act of 2019.
The Senate will recess from
12:15pm until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
Senator McConnell filed
cloture on the motion to proceed to S.1. The cloture vote would occur one hour
after the Senate convenes on Thursday, January 10, barring further accord. He could
reconsider today’s failed cloture vote at any time.
The Senate
began the Rule 14 process to place S.47, Natural Resources Management Act
(Lands package), on the Calendar of business.
