The Senate stands adjourned until 3:00pm on Monday, April 1, 2019.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Calendar #15, H.R.268, making supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2019.
During today’s session, Senator McConnell filed cloture on Shelby amendment #201 (substitute) and on the underlying bill H.R.268, Supplemental Appropriations.
The first degree amendment filing deadline with respect to these cloture motions is 4:00pm on Monday. The filing deadline for second degree amendments is one hour prior to the cloture vote. If cloture is invoked, amendments must be germane and timely filed.
At 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Shelby substitute amendment #201. If cloture is not invoked, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on H.R.268.
During today’s session, Senator McConnell filed cloture on the motion to proceed to S.Res.50, related to procedures for the consideration of nominations in the Senate (Lankford). If cloture is not invoked on the substitute amendment #201 or H.R.268, the cloture motion on the motion to proceed to S.Res.50 will ripen at 2:15pm Tuesday, April 2nd.
