Alexander objects to passing No Junk Plans Act, and H.R. 986, Protecting American's with Preexisting Conditions Act/4:30pm vote series reminder

Senator Baldwin asked unanimous consent that the HELP Committee be discharged from further consideration of S.1556, to provide that the rule entitled “Short-Term, Limited Duration Insurance” shall have no force or effect. Senator Alexander objected.

 

Senator Murphy asked unanimous consent the Senate take up and pass Calendar #90, H.R.986, to provide that certain guidance related to waivers for State innovation under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act shall have no force or effect. Senator Alexander objected.

 

At 4:30pm today, there will be 4 roll call votes on confirmation of the Nielson (UT), Clark (MO), Nichols (DC) and Bell (NC) nominations.

 

Discussions continue on Supplemental Appropriations. Another message will be sent when we know more about the schedule for the rest of the week.
