The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, October 24, 2019.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #457, Justin Reed Walker, of Kentucky, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Kentucky.
The Senate will recess from 10:30am until 12:00 noon to allow for the Lying in State Honoring Rep. Elijah Cummings.
At 12:00 noon, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Walker nomination.
If cloture is invoked, at 1:45pm, all post-cloture time will be considered expired and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Walker nomination.
As a reminder, during Tuesday’s session, the motion to proceed to H.R.3055 was adopted by voice vote. The substitute amendment #948 (Senate texts of CJS, Ag, Interior, and THUD appropriations) and a placeholder amendment #950 were made pending.
