The
Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #329, Matthew H. Solomson, of Maryland, to be a Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims.
At 11:00am, the Senate will vote on the motions to invoke cloture on the Solomson (US Court of Federal Claims), Roumel (US Court of Federal Claims), and DeSombre (Ambassador to Thailand) nominations.
If cloture is invoked on any of the nominations, at 5:00pm on Wednesday, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nominations.
During Tuesday’s session of the Senate, Senator McConnell filed cloture on Executive Calendar #554, Paul J. Ray, of Tennessee, to be Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget. That cloture petition ripens on Thursday.
