The Senate
stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, under the provisions of S.Res.468 as a further mark of
respect for the late Honorable Jocelyn Burdick, former United States
Senator for the State of North Dakota.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #498, Peter Gaynor, of Rhode Island, to be Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Homeland Security, post-cloture.
At 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Gaynor nomination.
The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
