The Senate stands adjourned to convene for a pro forma session with no business conducted at 2:00pm on Friday, January 17, 2020.

When the Senate adjourns on Friday, it will next convene at 12:30pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will recess subject to the call of the Chair.

At 1:00pm, the Senate will sit as a court of Impeachment for the impeachment trial of Donald John Trump, President of the United States.

For the information of senators, on Tuesday, from 10:00am to 11:00am, the Senate can receive House messages and Executive matters; Committees are authorized to report legislative and executive matters; and Senators are allowed to submit statements for the Record, bills and resolutions, and cosponsor requests; and where applicable, the Secretary of the Senate, on behalf of the Presiding Officer, is permitted to refer such matters.
