The Senate stands adjourned until 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

Following the prayer and pledge, the Senate will sit as a Court of Impeachment for the trial of Donald J. Trump, President of the United States. At that time, the President’s counsels will continue their presentations.

On Tuesday, from 10:00am to 11:00am, the Senate can receive House messages and Executive matters; Committees are authorized to report legislative and executive matters; and Senators are allowed to submit statements for the Record, bills and resolutions, and cosponsor requests; and where applicable, the Secretary of the Senate, on behalf of the Presiding Officer, is permitted to refer such matters.
