The Senate stands adjourned
until 10:00am on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #655, Victor G. Mercado, of California, to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense. At 11:45am, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Mercado nomination, and if cloture is invoked, the vote on confirmation will be at 2:15pm.
Upon disposition of the Mercado nomination, there will be an immediate cloture vote on Executive Calendar #652, Brian D. Miller, of Virginia, to be Special Inspector General for Pandemic Recovery. If cloture is invoked, at 4:30pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Miller nomination.
The Senate will recess following the cloture vote on the Mercado nomination until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
