Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to consider the nomination of Executive Calendar #1, Lloyd James Austin, of Georgia, to be Secretary of Defense. There will be up to 10 minutes of debate followed by a vote on confirmation of the Austin nomination. We also hope to vote on confirmation of the Yellen and Blinken nominations this week.
