Senate stands adjourned until
12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to the consideration of Executive Calendar #9, Jennifer Mulhern Granholm, to be Secretary of the Energy.
The Senate will recess from 3:00pm to 4:00pm to allow for the All Senators briefing.
At 4:00pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Granholm nomination.
During Tuesday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on Executive Calendar #16, Miguel A. Cardona, of Connecticut, to be Secretary of Education. If no further agreement is reached, that cloture vote will occur following disposition of the Granholm nomination, or one hour after the Senate convenes on Thursday, whichever is later.
