The
Senate stands adjourned
until 10:00am on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to consider Executive Calendar #26, Isabella Casillas Guzman, of California, to be Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
At 12:00 noon, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Guzman nomination.
Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
If cloture is invoked on the Guzman nomination, the confirmation vote is expected to occur during Tuesday’s session. Following disposition of the Guzman nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #29, Katherine C. Tai, of the District of Columbia, to be United States Trade Representative.
During Monday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on the following nominations:
1. Executive Calendar #37, Xavier Becerra, of California, to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.
2. Executive Calendar #17, Martin Joseph Walsh, of Massachusetts, to be Secretary of Labor.
