The
Senate stands adjourned
until 3:00pm on Monday, April 19, 2021.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of S.937, COVID–19 Hate Crimes Act.
At 5:30pm, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session, resume consideration of Executive Calendar #57, Lisa O. Monaco, of the District of Columbia, to be Deputy Attorney General, and vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination. Following the cloture vote, the Senate will resume Legislative session.
If cloture is invoked on the Monaco nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Republican Leader on Tuesday, April 20th.
Additional roll call votes are possible during Monday’s session in order to file cloture on Executive Calendar #62, Vanita Gupta, of Virginia, to be Associate Attorney General.
Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:
1. Executive Calendar #57, Lisa O. Monaco, of the District of Columbia, to be Deputy Attorney General.
2. Executive Calendar #34, Gary Gensler, of Maryland, to be a Member of the Securities and Exchange Commission for a term expiring June 5, 2026.
