The
Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #117, Chiquita Brooks-LaSure, of Virginia, to be Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, post-cloture.
At 11:45am, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Brooks-LaSure nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #124, Kristen M. Clarke, of the District of Columbia, to be an Assistant Attorney General.
Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
If cloture is invoked on the Clarke nomination, at 2:30pm, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination.
Discussions are ongoing with respect to consideration of additional amendments to Calendar #58, S.1260, United States Innovation and Competition Act of 2021. Additional roll call votes are possible during Tuesday’s session.
