Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #341, Florence Y. Pan, of the District of Columbia, to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia, post-cloture.
Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:
1. Executive Calendar #341, Florence Y. Pan, of the District of Columbia, to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia (cloture invoked)
2. Executive Calendar #244, Sarah Bianchi, of Virginia, to be Deputy United States Trade Representative.
3. Executive Calendar #241, Daniel J. Kritenbrink, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (East Asian and Pacific Affairs).
4. Executive Calendar #333, Karen Erika Donfried, of the District of Columbia, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (European Affairs and Eurasian Affairs).
5. Executive Calendar #324, Monica P. Medina, of Maryland, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs).
6. Executive Calendar #331, Mary Catherine Phee, of Illinois, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (African Affairs).
7. Executive Calendar #240, Todd D. Robinson, of New Jersey, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs).
8. Executive Calendar #334, Jessica Lewis, of Ohio, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (Political-Military Affairs).
At approximately 10:00am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Pan nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on cloture on the Bianchi nomination. There will be up to 2 hours of debate prior to roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination.
There will be roll call votes throughout Thursday’s session on cloture and confirmation of the nominations in the list above. Messages will be sent throughout the day as more information is available about the amount of debate time expected to be used post-cloture on each nomination.
