The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session. Discussions continue on reaching an agreement to consider debt limit legislation and nominations during Thursday’s session.

The Senate reached an agreement to postpone the cloture vote on the House message to accompany S.1301 – the debt limit legislation – to at a time to be determined on Thursday. If an agreement on the debt limit is reached, that cloture motion could be withdrawn and the Senate would instead consider the motion to concur in the House amendment to S.1301 with a further amendment (text of the Senate agreement).
