Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #339, Jia M. Cobb, of Virgina, to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.
At 5:30pm, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #187, Douglas L. Parker, of West Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of Labor, and immediately vote on confirmation of the nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #338, Myrna Perez, of New York, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Second Circuit.
During Thursday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on the following nominations:
1. Executive Calendar #339, Jia M. Cobb, of Virgina, to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia
2. Executive Calendar #342, Karen McGlashan Williams, of New Jersey, to be United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey
3. Executive Calendar #364, Patricia Tolliver Giles, of Virginia, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia
4. Executive Calendar #365, Michael S. Nachmanoff, of Virginia, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia
5. Executive Calendar #366, Sarala Vidya Nagala, of Connecticut, to be United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut
These cloture motions will ripen at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 26th.
