The
Senate stands adjourned until
10:00am on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #576, Samantha D. Elliott, of New Hampshire, to be United States District Judge for the District of New Hampshire.
At approximately 11:00am, the Senate will vote on cloture on the Elliott nomination. If cloture is invoked, the confirmation vote will occur at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader following consultation with the Republican Leader. Following the Elliot cloture vote, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to S.1605, vehicle for NDAA. Following that vote, the Senate is expected to vote on a motion to proceed to a joint resolution to raise the debt ceiling.
If the motion to proceed is agreed to, there would be up to 10 hours of debate equally divided prior to a vote on passage of the joint resolution. The vote on passage is expected to occur during Tuesday’s session.
As a reminder, at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with Republican Leader, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #533 Jennifer Sung, of Oregon, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

1. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #576, Samantha D. Elliott, of New Hampshire, to be United States District Judge for the District of New Hampshire.
2. Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to S.1605, vehicle for NDAA.
3. Motion to proceed to S.J.Res.___, Debt ceiling.
