The Senate
stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the House Message to accompany H.R.5746, the legislative vehicle for the Voting Rights legislation.
As a result of cloture having been filed on the motion to concur, the first degree amendment filing deadline is 1:00pm. The second degree amendment filing deadline is 1 hour prior to the cloture vote, if cloture is invoked. Amendments must be germane and timely filed to be in order post cloture.
At approximately 6:30pm, the cloture motion on the motion to concur will ripen and the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House Message to accompany H.R.5746.
Senators should expect additional roll call votes Wednesday night.
