Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #692, Celeste Ann Wallander, of Maryland, to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense.
At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on the motions to invoke cloture on the Wallander and Honey nominations. If cloture is invoked on either nomination, the confirmation votes will be at 3:30pm. Additional roll call votes are possible. During today’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #267, H.R.6617, continuing resolution to March 11th. Discussions are ongoing to reach a consent in order to consider the CR as early as Wednesday.
