The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #1035, Nina Nin-Yuen Wang, of Colorado, to be United States District Judge for the District of Colorado, post-cloture.

 

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Wang nomination and cloture on the Maldonado nomination (IL District Judge).

 

Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

 

If cloture is invoked on the Maldonado nomination, at approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination.

 

During Tuesday’s session, the Senate is expected to vote on confirmation of the Childs nomination (DC Circuit) and moving to the Message for consideration of the CHIPS legislation. Messages will be sent when those votes are set.

 

Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:

1.      Executive Calendar #988 Nancy L. Maldonado, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois

2.      Executive Calendar #989 Gregory Brian Williams, of Delaware, to be United States District Judge for the District of Delaware

3.      Executive Calendar #971 Natasha C. Merle, of New York, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York

 

Tuesday, July 19th at approx. 11:30am – 2 roll call votes:

1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #1035, Nina Nin-Yuen Wang, of Colorado, to be United States District Judge for the District of Colorado

2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #988 Nancy L. Maldonado, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois
