Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to consider Executive Calendar #781, Franklin R. Parker, of the District of Columbia, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and vote on confirmation of the nomination.
During Wednesday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on the motion to concur in the House Message with substitute amendment #6552 (omnibus appropriations). Discussions are ongoing for a series of votes to complete action on the bill. Additional votes are expected during Thursday’s session.
