The Senate
stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, March 7, 2023
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #31 Robert Stewart Ballou, of Virginia, to be U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Virginia, post-cloture.
At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Ballou nomination and on cloture on the Schopler nomination (CA District Judge).
Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
At approximately 2:15pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Schopler nomination and cloture on the Subramanian nomination (NY District Judge).
At approximately 4:30pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Subramanian nomination and cloture on the Kunesh nomination (Native Americans, HHS).
Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:
1. Executive Calendar #42 Andrew G. Schopler, of California, to be U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of California
2. Executive Calendar #43 Arun Subramanian, of New York, to be U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York
3. Executive Calendar #45 Patrice H. Kunesh, of Minnesota, to be Commissioner of the Administration for Native Americans, Department of Health and Human Services
4. Executive Calendar #61 Daniel I. Werfel, of the District of Columbia, to be Commissioner of Internal Revenue
