The Senate
stands adjourned until 3:00pm on Monday, March 27, 2023.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Calendar #25 S.316, to repeal the authorizations for use of military force against Iraq.
During Thursday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on the bill. The first degree amendment filing is at 3:30pm on Monday. The second degree filing deadline is one hour prior to the cloture vote.
At approximately 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on S.316.
If cloture is invoked on the bill, at a time to be determined on Tuesday March 28th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Republican Leader, the Senate will vote in relation to the following amendments, if offered, at 60 vote thresholds:
1. Sullivan amdt #33
2. Scott (FL) amdt #13
3. Ricketts amdt #30
4. Cruz amdt #9
5. Hawley amdt #40
6. Johnson amdt #11
