The Senate
stands adjourned for pro forma sessions only with no business conducted on the
following dates and times:
Monday, April 3rd at 12:00 noon;
Thursday, April 6th at 10:00 a.m.;
Monday, April 10th at 11:30 a.m.; and
Thursday, April 13th at 8:45 a.m.
When the Senate adjourns on April 13th, it will next convene at 3:00pm on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #19 Radha Iyengar Plumb, of New York, to be a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense.
As a result of cloture being filed on Cal.#28 S.870, Fire Grants and Safety Act, the filing deadline for first degree amendments is 3:30pm on Monday, April 17th.
At approximately 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Plumb nomination.
Cloture has been filed on the following:
1. Executive Calendar #19 Radha Iyengar Plumb, of New York, to be a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense
2. Executive Calendar #57 Amy Lefkowitz Solomon, of the District of Columbia, to be an Assistant Attorney General
3. Calendar #28, S.870, to amend the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 to authorize appropriations for the United States Fire Administration and firefighter assistance grant programs.
