The Senate
stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, May 4, 2023.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #125 LaShonda A. Hunt, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois, post-cloture.
At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Hunt nomination and on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #79 Colleen Joy Shogan, of Pennsylvania, to be Archivist of the United States.
At approximately 1:45pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #66 Geeta Rao Gupta, of Virginia, to be Ambassador at Large for Global Women's Issues.
If cloture is invoked on the Shogan and Gupta nominations, the confirmation votes are expected to occur at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Republican Leader.
