The Senate
stands adjourned for pro forma sessions only with no business conducted on the
following days and times:
Friday, May 19th at 9:45am
Tuesday, May 23rd at 12:00 noon
Thursday, 25th at 12:30pm
Friday, May 26th at 9:00am
When the Senate adjourns on May 26th, the Senate will next convene at 3:00pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #177 Darrel James Papillion, of Louisiana, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
At approximately 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination.
As discussions with respect to the debt ceiling continue over the next week, Senator Schumer has announced that Senators should remain aware and be able to return to the Senate within a 24-hour period to fulfill our responsibilities to avoid default.
