The Senate
stands in recess until 10:00am on Friday, September 29, 2023.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Calendar #211, H.R.3935, legislative vehicle for the continuing resolution.
During Thursday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on Murray substitute amendment #1292 and on Calendar #211, H.R.3935. If no agreement is reached, the cloture vote on the substitute amendment will occur one hour after the Senate convenes on Saturday. The filing deadline for first degree amendments is 1:00pm Friday. The filing deadline for second degree amendments is one hour prior to the cloture vote if cloture is invoked.
At approximately 12:00 noon, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Gee nomination (US Attorney for MS) and confirmation of the McGrath nomination (US Attorney for CA).
Additional roll call votes are possible during Friday’s session.
