The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of Executive Calendar #334 Adm. Lisa M. Franchetti, to be Chief of Naval Operations.
Under the rule, one hour after the Senate convenes the cloture motions that were filed during Tuesday’s session will ripen and the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Franchetti nomination.
Cloture has been filed on the on the following nominations:
1. Executive Calendar #334 Adm. Lisa M. Franchetti, to be Chief of Naval Operations
2. Executive Calendar #329 Gen. David W. Allvin, to be Chief of Staff, US Air Force
3. Executive Calendar #333 Lt. Gen. Christopher J. Mahoney, to be Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps
Thursday, November 2nd at approx. 11:00am – at least 1 roll call vote:
1. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #334 Adm. Lisa M. Franchetti, to be Chief of Naval Operations
We expect to process the nominations that cloture has been filed on during Thursday’s session. Senators will be notified when additional roll call votes are expected.
