The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, December 7, 2023.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to Calendar #30, H.R. 815, the legislative vehicle for supplemental appropriations.

 

Senator Paul is expected to make a motion to discharge S.J.Res. 51 from the Committee on Foreign Relations tomorrow morning, if he does the Senate will vote on the motion at approx. 11:30am.

 

Senators should expect a second vote at 11:30am, either on confirmation of Executive Calendar #144 Elizabeth H. Richard, to be Coordinator for Counterterrorism, or on the non-debatable motion to proceed to NDAA Conference Report.

 

The cloture motion with respect to Executive Calendar #352 Richard E.N. Federico, of Kansas, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Tenth Circuit will ripen at 1:45pm tomorrow and the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture.

 

Thursday, December 7th at approx. 11:30am – 2 roll call votes expected:

1.      Motion to discharge S.J.Res.51 - A joint resolution directing the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities in Syria that have not been authorized by Congress, from the Committee on Foreign Relations (Paul)

2.      Confirmation of Executive Calendar #144 Elizabeth H. Richard, of Virginia, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Career Minister, to be Coordinator for Counterterrorism, with the rank and status of Ambassador at Large.
