The Senate
stands adjourned until 8:45am on Friday, January 12, 2024, for a pro forma
session only with no business conducted.
When the Senate adjourns on Friday, it will next convene at 3:00pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to Calendar #243, H.R.2872, the legislative vehicle for the Continuing Resolution.
During Thursday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on the motion to proceed to the bill. That cloture motion will ripen at 5:45pm on Tuesday.
If a motion to discharge the Committee on Foreign Relations from further consideration of S.Res.504 is made during Tuesday’s session, the Senate will vote in relation to the motion to discharge at 5:30pm on Tuesday.
Tuesday, January 16th at approx. 5:30pm – 2 roll call votes expected:
1. Roll call vote in relation to the motion to discharge the Committee on Foreign Relations from further consideration of S.Res.504, requesting information on Israel's human rights practices pursuant to section 502B(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.
2. Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #243, H.R.2872, the legislative vehicle for the Continuing Resolution.
