The Senate
stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #311 Karoline Mehalchick, of Pennsylvania, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #471 Kirk Edward Sherriff, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Mehalchick nomination.
Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
If cloture is invoked, at approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Mehalchick nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #142 Joseph Goffman, of Pennsylvania, to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
If cloture is invoked, at approximately 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Goffman nomination.
Additional roll call votes are possible in relation to S.J.Res.50 and the veto override with respect to S.J.Res.38. The previous orders with respect to those items can be found in the Legislative Business portion of this message.

4. Executive Calendar #476 Joseph Albert Laroski, Jr., of Maryland, to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade
