The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.


Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #472 Julie Simone Sneed, of Florida, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida.


At approximately 11:30am the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Sneed nomination.

 

If cloture is invoked, at approximately 2:15pm the post-cloture time will considered expired and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Sneed nomination, followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #469 Melissa Damian, of Florida, to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.

 

If cloture is invoked on the Damian nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired at approx. 5:30pm and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #514 Marjorie Rollinson, of Virginia, to be Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service and an Assistant General Counsel in the Department of the Treasury

 

Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:

  1. Executive Calendar #472 Julie Simone Sneed, of Florida, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida
  2. Executive Calendar #469 Melissa Damian, of Florida, to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida
  3. Executive Calendar #514 Marjorie Rollinson, of Virginia, to be Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service and an Assistant General Counsel in the Department of the Treasury

 

Wednesday, February 28th at approx. 11:30am – 1 roll call vote:
