The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday,
June 4, 2024.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to resume consideration of Executive Calendar #647, Christopher T. Hanson, of Michigan, to be a Member of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, post-cloture.
At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Hanson nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #507 Tanya Monique Jones Bosier, of the District of Columbia, to be an Associate Judge of the D.C. Superior Court.
Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
If cloture is invoked, at approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Bosier nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #511 Judith E. Pipe, of the District of Columbia, to be an Associate Judge of the D.C. Superior Court.
Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:
1. Executive Calendar #507 Tanya Monique Jones Bosier, of the District of Columbia, to be an Associate Judge of the D.C. Superior Court
2. Executive Calendar #511 Judith E. Pipe, of the District of Columbia, to be an Associate Judge of the D.C. Superior Court
3. Executive Calendar #590 Stephanie Sanders Sullivan, of Maryland, to be Representative to the African Union, with the rank and status of Ambassador
Additional roll call votes are possible during Tuesday’s session.
During Monday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #400, S.4381, Right to Contraception Act. This vote is expected to occur during Wednesday’s session.
