The Senate stands adjourned until 11:00am on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of Executive Calendar #582 Dorothy Camille Shea, of North Carolina, to be Deputy Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations, and the Deputy Representative of the United States of America in the Security Council of the United Nations, post-cloture.
At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Shea nomination.
The Senate will then resume legislative session to resume consideration of the motion to proceed to Cal. #349, H.R.7024, Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act. At approximately 1:45pm the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed.
