Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #651 Rebecca L. Pennell, of Washington, to be District Judge for the Eastern District of Washington, post-cloture.
At approximately 11:00am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Pennell nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #539 Amir H. Ali, of the District of Columbia, to be District Judge for the District of Columbia. If cloture is invoked on the nomination, there will be up to 2 hours of debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination.
Following disposition of the Ali nomination, the Senate will proceed to Legislative session, and Senator Sanders, or his designee, will be recognized to make a motion to discharge S.J.Res.111 (re: tank cartridges sales) from the Foreign Relations Committee. There will be up to 2 hours of debate, equally divided between proponents and opponents, on the motion to discharge. Upon the use or yielding back of time, the Senate will vote in relation to the motion to discharge.
If the motion to discharge S.J.Res.111 is not agreed to, Senator Sanders, or his designee, will be recognized to make a motion to discharge S.J.Res.113 (re: mortar rounds sales) from the Foreign Relations Committee. If the motion is made, the Senate will vote in relation to the motion to discharge.
If the motion to discharge to S.J.Res.113 is not agreed to, Senator Sanders, or his designee, will be recognized to make a motion to discharge S.J.Res.115 (re: JDAMs sales) from the Foreign Relations Committee. If the motion is made, the Senate will vote in relation to the motion to discharge.
There will be up to 2 minutes for debate equally divided prior to each vote respect to a motion to discharge.
If the motion to discharge S.J.Res.115 is not agreed to, Senator Paul, or his designee, will be recognized to make a motion to proceed to the consideration of S.J.Res.117 (re: disapproval of Ukraine loan forgiveness). There will be up to 1 hour for debate, equally divided, on the motion. Upon the use or yielding back of that time, the Senate will vote in relation to the motion to proceed.
Following that vote, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #601 Sparkle L. Sooknanan, of the District of Columbia, to be District Judge for the District of Columbia.
