Schedule for pro forma sessions and January 3, 2025
The Senate stands adjourned for pro forma sessions only with no business conducted on the following dates and times:
Monday, December 23 at 9:30am
Thursday, December 26 at 2:30pm
Monday, December 30 at 12:30pm
Thursday, January 2 at 12:00 noon
Friday, January 3 at 11:45am
Following the January 3rd pro forma, the Senate will convene at 12:00 noon pursuant to the Constitution.
Following the prayer and pledge, the certificates of election will be presented. Senators will then be sworn-in. After the swearing-in, there will be a live quorum. After a quorum is established, the Senate will adopt a number of housekeeping resolutions.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.
