Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business for debate only with senators be permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

During Thursday’ session of the Senate, Senator Thune filed cloture on the following nominations:

1.      Executive Calendar #12 Pamela Bondi, of Florida, to be Attorney General

2.      Executive Calendar #11 Eric Turner, of Texas, to be Secretary of Housing and Urban Development

At approximately 5:30pm, Senators should expect up to 3 roll call votes on the following:

1.      Motion to proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of Executive Calendar #13 Russell Vought, of Virginia, to be Director of the Office of Management and Budget (Senator Thune intends to file cloture on the nomination.)

2.      Confirmation of Executive Calendar #10 Christopher Wright, of Colorado, to be Secretary of Energy

3.      Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #12 Pamela Bondi, of Florida, to be Attorney General
