The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #25 Troy Edgar, of California, to be Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security.
At approximately 11:00am, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Edgar nomination.
If cloture is invoked on the Edgar nomination, at approximately 1:45pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #29 Lori Chavez-DeRemer, of Oregon, to be Secretary of Labor. If cloture is invoked on the Chavez-DeRemer nomination, the confirmation vote will occur at a time to be determined on Monday, March 10th. Following the cloture vote on the Chavez-DeRemer nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #18, S.331, HALT Fentanyl Act.
