Schedule for Tuesday, March 11, 2025

The Senate stands in recess until 10:00am on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #26, Steven Bradbury to be Deputy Secretary of Transportation.  At approximately 11:45am the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Bradbury nomination.

 

Following the cloture vote the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings.

 

If cloture is invoked on the Bradbury nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired and the Senate will vote on confirmation at approximately 2:15pm.  Following disposition of the Bradbury nomination the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #28, Abigail Slater to be an Assistant Attorney General.  If cloture is invoked on the Slater nomination, all time will be considered expired and the Senate will vote on confirmation at 5:15pm.

 

During Monday’s session Senator Thune filed cloture on the following nominations.  Consideration is expected during Wednesday’s session.

-          Executive Calendar #31, Stephen Miran, of New York, to be Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers

-          Executive Calendar #34, Keith Sonderling, of Florida, to be Deputy Secretary of Labor

 

Pending amendments to Cal. #18, S.331, HALT Fentanyl Act:

-          Grassley #1237
