Schedule for Thursday, April 3, 2025

The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of H.J.Res.24, providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Energy relating to "Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Walk-In Coolers and Walk-In Freezers".

At approximately 11:00am, the Senate will vote on passage of the joint resolution. Following disposition of the joint resolution, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #46, Dean Sauer, of Missouri, to be Solicitor General of the United States. Following disposition of the Sauer nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #53, Mehmet Oz, of Pennsylvania, to be Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Following the cloture vote, notwithstanding Rule 22, it will be in order for Senator Sanders to make two motions to discharge S.J.Res.33 and S.J.Res.26 (both re: arms sales to Israel) from the Foreign Relations Committee. If they are made, at approximately 2:30pm, the Senate will vote on the motions to discharge S.J.Res.33 and S.J.Res.26. Following disposition of the motions to discharge, if cloture is invoked on the Oz nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination. Following disposition of the Oz nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #47, Harmeet Dhillon, of California, to be an Assistant Attorney General.

Following disposition of the Dhillon nomination, if Senator Thune moves to proceed to H.Con.Res.14 (Budget Resolution), Senators should expect a roll call vote on that motion.
