Schedule for Pro Forma Sessions and Monday, April 28, 2025

The Senate stands adjourned to convene for pro forma sessions only with no business conducted on the following dates at the following times:

Monday, April 14th at 8:45am

            Thursday, April 17th at 9:00am

            Monday, April 21st at 6:45am

            Thursday, April 24th at 10:00am

 

When the Senate adjourns on Thursday April 24th, it will next convene at 3:00pm on Monday, April 28, 2025.  Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minute each.

 

At approximately 5:30pm the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #80, David Perdue to be Ambassador to the People's Republic of China.

 

Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:

  1. Executive Calendar #80, David Perdue, of Georgia, to be Ambassador to the People's Republic of China
  2. Executive Calendar #77, Warren Stephens, of Arkansas, to be Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
  3. Executive Calendar #78, Thomas Barrack, of Colorado, to be Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey
  4. Executive Calendar #79, Tilman Fertitta, of Texas, to be Ambassador to the Italian Republic, and to serve concurrently and without additional compensation as Ambassador to the Republic of San Marino

 

Monday, April 28th at approx. 5:30pm – 1 roll call vote expected:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #80 David Perdue to be Ambassador to the People's Republic of China
