Republican Plan by Senator Rick Scott Raises Taxes, Ends Medicare & Social Security
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee Vice Chairman Cory Booker (D-NJ) today released a report outlining the difference between President Biden’s budget and the Republican plan by Senator Rick Scott. The report can be found here.
“It's clear—President Biden’s budget puts Americans first while the Republican plan raises their taxes and shockingly, ends Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, and VA services,” Senator Stabenow said.
“President Biden’s budget is a strong, forward-looking, and optimistic vision of our country’s potential,” said Leader Schumer. “Republicans can’t stand asking the ultra-rich to pay their fair share, so their answer is to shortchange the American people and cut off vital programs that families and senior rely on and resources that help our country grow.”
