New Poll Reflecting Voters’ Views on Medicaid to be Released
**MEDIA ADVISORY** Tomorrow at 11:45am: Senators Bennet and Tester, Along With Patient and Consumer Groups To Hold Press Conference Urging Senate to Preserve Quality Health Coverage for Millions New Poll Reflecting Voters’ Views on Medicaid to be Released Washington, D.C. – Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 11:45 AM in SVC 215, Capitol Visitor Center, Senators Bennet and Tester will be joined by some of the more than 60 patients and consumers from across the country, each with their own personal health care story, who are in Washington, D.C. this week to urge their senators to preserve quality health care access and coverage for millions of Americans. The efforts are being organized by more than a dozen different patient and public interest groups, including the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, American Lung Association, Consumers Union, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The groups and patients are troubled by many key provisions of the House and Senate health bills, including giving states the option to waive essential health benefits, increasing the amount older Americans can be charged for coverage and dramatically cutting critical Medicaid funding. A new survey on voters’ views on the Medicaid program and proposed changes in the health bill will also be released at the event.
