Leader Schumer Statement After Federal Judge Temporarily Blocked Trump Administration Cruel And Chaotic Federal Funding Freeze

Washington, D.C. – Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today released the following statement after a federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump Administration's freeze on all federal grants:

“Trump's order is blatantly illegal, shortsighted, mean-spirted, and just foolish. Even though a judge has blocked it for a few days, we know that Trump and Vought will keep pushing to get it done.  Senate Democrats will keep fighting to protect American communities, seniors, and families from dangerous actions like we saw last night.”
